Covid19: Microsoft Teams Free & Teams for Home

Microsoft is one of the top IT giants which has been very helpful for the community.

We are under the Covid19 Epidemic and we all are working from home except emergency workers like hospital staff, police, fire department.

Considering the situation every product manufacturer is offering one or the other offer to help all of us.

Microsoft announced Microsoft Teams free edition so that remote workers from the small business can use Microsoft Teams are run their businesses.

If you are a small business and can’t afford Microsoft Office 365 or you are already using gmail and quickly start using Microsoft Teams to collaborate and run your business then you can use “Microsoft Teams for your organization” Which is available at the bottom of the following link.

Here click on “Sign up for free”

Now it will ask your email address which can be your gmail, yahoo, outlook, Hotmail email id. Yes, you don’t need onmicrosoft.com id and it is not full office 365 suite. It is only Microsoft Teams. Click next after providing your email address.

Now you will see the following screen. Select “For Work” here and then click next.

Click create on the next screen and provide a password.

Then provide the email validation code which is send to your email.

Click submit and it will create Microsoft Teams free edition for you. Which will look like below. Watch out admin is gmail.com

Free version of Microsoft Teams Eligibility:
Any person with any corporate or consumer email address can sign up for Teams today. People who don’t already have a paid Office 365 commercial subscription will have access to the free version of Teams. If an existing Office 365 commercial customer tried to sign up for free, they will be routed into a managed experience for their existing tenant. Existing customers who don’t have a Teams license as part of their Office 365 or Microsoft plan will soon be eligible for a 1 year free trial.
