O365 Adoption: Microsoft 365 Learning Pathways

Much Awaited Microsoft released an office 365 learning pathway. This is a Microsoft effort to increase the office 365 adoption and it provides Microsoft catalog of trainings.

It is simple to deploy, here is how we deploy it.

  1. Provision SharePoint site for App Catalog Deployment.
  2. Go to the following URL and create an app site as mentioned in the further steps.

  1. Click open


  1. Click on App catalog


  1. Select Create a new app catalog site, and then select OK.


  1. On the Create App Catalog Site Collection page, enter the required info, and then select OK.


  1. We need to provide 2 hours of gap between app catalog SharePoint online site deployment and Microsoft 365 learning pathways else you will see the following error and you will have to wait for 2 hours.

    Provisioning could not be completed

    The configuration of your tenant does not satisfy the requirements of the selected template.

    Here are the details of missing prerequisites:

    In order to provision the template you need to have an App Catalog in your tenant. Please, create one (for instructions you can read this document: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2087251), wait up to 2 hours, and try again.

  2. Click Add to your tenant. If you are not signed into to your tenant, the Provisioning Service will ask for your Tenant Admin credentials.
  3. From the Permissions requested dialog box, select Consent on behalf of your organization and then select Accept.


    1. Complete the fields on the provisioning information page as appropriate for your installation. At a minimum enter the email address where you wish to get notifications about the provisioning process and the destination URL for your site to be provisioned to.


  1. Click Provision when ready to install learning pathways into your tenant environment. The provisioning process will take up to 15 minutes. You will be notified via email (to the notification email address you entered on the Provisioning page) when the site is ready for access.

You can select URL.


  1. Click Confirm on the following popup.


  1. Now we will see that provisioning has started.


  1. You will see a checkbox when it is ready.


  1. Once Provisioned browse the URL

Point to be noted here the number of trainings Microsoft has added


  1. Optional: Add Owners to Site
  • From the SharePoint Settings menu, click Site Permissions.
  • Click Advanced Permission Settings.
  • Click Microsoft 365 learning pathways Owners.
  • Click New > Add Users to this group, and then add the people you want to be Owners.
  • Add a link to Explore the Site in the Share message, and then click Share.

  • Click on Outlook and we will see 11 trainings


  • I clicked on Outlook mobile: Manage your inbox and I got the video and instructions.


  • Do you see the Next on top? If you click on it then you can see more videos.
