Microsoft Booking App: The Endless Innovation

In the year 2013, I became Microsoft MVP and attended Microsoft MVP Summit 2013. In the year 2015, I attended the MVP summit again.

Recently, I was moved to Los Angeles, I learn from my new hair stylist that they write the customer appointment on a paper register. Apart from all the beautiful things happen to me during the Microsoft MVP 2015, I had to ask for an app from Microsoft which can help not only her, but also many other similar small businesses.

Microsoft Product Group Accepted this request and on July 20th, 2016 Microsoft Launched Microsoft Bookings app.

Microsoft Booking App has already helped many businesses for auto calendar book. Microsoft Teams was released in 2017. So, Microsoft Teams was not only connected with Bookings app from the beginning.

However today, booking app is more powerful, it not only allows to create multiple booking profile but also integrated with Microsoft Teams.   1. Block Requesters Calendar.
  2. Block Recipients Calendar.
  3. Add Teams Meeting invite.
  4. Sends the reminder to the requester.
  5. Allows Requester to Reschedule.

So far so good.

Recently, I learned from a customer that they would like to replace #Exchange Public Folders with Microsoft #Booking App.

When I requested the Booking App from Microsoft at #MVP Summit 2015, I was not thinking about how innovative it can become.

Innovation is a skill which you are born with, and it is never ending innovation. This thought is coming from a community college Dean.

You might get amused with a Public Folders connection with Microsoft Booking App.

However, many of us use Public Folders for Shared Calendars and Public Folders Migration from on-premises to office 365 is not simple. So if your organization is only using Exchange Public Folders for Shared Calendar or to book a meeting room then this is the time to use Microsoft Booking App.
